I’m writing this the day after performing at Felt Nowt’s New Act of the Year competition, which took place at Prohibition bar in Newcastle, and was promoted by North East comedy collective Felt Nowt in conjunction with Giggle Water Comedy.
It was a fun show with a bunch of bright new talents and myself. After an audience and judge vote, I ended up in 2nd place. Was it based on prejudice because I was wearing a Brazil shirt as a tribute to my fiancée? I couldn’t say, but almost certainly. Would I have come 1st if I had worn an England shirt? I couldn’t say, but almost certainly.
Anyway, it was a fun night and I’m happy to have gone down well and received some good feedback from audience members. I’ve included a photo from the night down below.
