08/02/2022 – Feb ’22 Update

Hello everyone,

Apologies for such a long delay between posts, but the last year has been wild to say the least. In August 2021, I made the move back to Newcastle, having moved away during the pandemic. Not long after, in November, I accepted a full time role as a writer/researcher with Gateshead-based factual company Twenty Six 03, where I’ve been working on treatments and pitch decks for major broadcasters. That same month, I finally got back to doing stand up, and have been trying to regularly get back onstage (though Covid keeps getting in the way). And to top it all off, I got engaged in December! What a happy way to end a very busy 2021.

Now that I’ve finally found time to breathe, I thought I’d post a quick update of what I’m doing. My MA in Writing for Script & Screen is coming to an end in just a few months, so I’m incredibly busy writing away on my final project. I don’t want to discuss it too much, but it’s a comedy drama pilot that has been bouncing around in my head for a few years now, and I’m very happy with where it’s at so far.

Madison P.I. continues to get good feedback in competitions, and there are still two short films I’ve written at various stages of development. Stand up has been slow due to a number of cancellations or catching Covid, but I’m due to tick off a bucket list item and appear onstage at The Stand in March, which is exciting.

I’m going to try and keep updating the website more, but between full time writer/researcher work, and the MA, it’s all very hectic. Until next time…

Harry
